Wow! What a lot of reasons you gave why you don't succeed at keeping the weight off - and it's great that you recognise they are all about your lifestyle because that's what has to change to make any weight loss permanent.

The problem with diets (for everyone) is that you make drastic changes "just until I lose weight" and then go right back to the habits that made you overweight in the first place.

I think you know that just doesn't add up.

Instead of dieting this time, how about tackling one of those lifestyle issues at a time and making a new habit? Once you put that in place and it feels natural and easy, go on to tackle something else.

How much control do you have over cooking by the way? This seems to be a big problem. I don't believe in "diet food" only in cooking delicious recipes in a healthy way. But Rice is just not an issue. Also Frying is not an issue if you cook in tiny quantities of oil (like a couple of squirts of oilve oil spray and not a deep fat fryer).

But not moving much as you go about your day IS a problem - there are studies that show slim people use up 350 calories a day more just in everyday activities - without working out or anything. They just get up and down more, fidget more etc.

Hope you get the support you are looking for on the forum

all the best for your weight loss success
