By the way, I forgot to say that losing 15lbs a month is too much as you can only lose 1 - 2 lbs of fat a week and that's the only stuff you want rid of.
Although you might lose a little more as you shed excess water at the beginning of a weight loss program you can't healthily sustain a greater level for the long term.
The stuff you don't want to lose is muscle - and a rapid weight loss can mean you are shedding this. Every pound of muscle burns 50 calories a day even when you are at rest. So the more muscle tissue you have the better.
If you keep losing weight rapidly over and over again you just keep losing more of that precious muscle and replacing it with fat as you regain the weight.
