I did Atkins and have lost 50lbs and kept it off.

Both of my parents did it as well. My mom, who can't excercise due to a medical condition, has lost 55lbs and kept it off.

My dad did it to support her, but doesn't anymore, as he's miltary and PTs and needs the carbs.

I would use it for weight loss, but you have to watch what you eat once you're done. If you eat junk, of course you're going to gain all your weight back.

If you eat healthy and excercise, you should be able to keep off the weight.
