Thanks for your comment regarding potatoes. Sweet potatoes are not actually related to normal potatoes and although are fairly starchy, are less so than normal potatoes. Potatoes are a great food and are full of vitamin c BUT IF YOU ARE TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT THEN THEY ARE BEST KEPT TO A MIMIMUM! They have a high starch content which is converted to sugar which is then laid down as fat. But everything in moderation - if you enjoy them, eat them - just not loads and covered in butter! For some people they can also be a trigger food, which encourages overeating. If you are lucky enough to be the weight you want and they do not affect you, then great!
