Hi Jana and PUTZ. It's great to get a reply from you two.
Jana, I'm not on any particular program right now, other than consuming all the carbs and calories I can at a time.
A couple of years ago I bought some books on the Atkins plan. Dr. Atkins makes a lot of sense in what he writes, but being married to a woman (along with two girls) than can eat anything anytime w/o fear of gaining weight is pretty much hopeless.
I'm in retail, and finding time to eat anything can be a challenge, let alone eating right. It's always some form of fast food, whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I gotta tell you, I find myself looking forward to getting the early shift because that means I get to have my sausage & egg McMuffin and cinnamon roll. I am ADDICTED to those cinnamon rolls. I even lick the sugar off the paper they come in. This just bites! I hate myself for doing it, but I can never seem to find the willpower to quit. I guess we are all in the same boat, or else we wouldn't belong to this forum, huh?
Getting back to the Atkins plan, it seemed that when I wasn't at work, I spent most of my time preparing what I was going to eat when I was at work. There is definately something missing in this approach; just got to figure out how to do it.
WHEW! I've been rambling for a while now. I guess I should shut up!!!!
Jana and PUTZ, what part of the world to each of you reside in? I'm a transplanted Texan that has been living in the Memphis area for ten (looonnnnnggg) years now.
I look forward to chatting with both of you soon. Take care. Jim
