Hey Jim,

Transplanted Texan huh? My parents live in Cleburne TX so I spend my time between Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Cleburne. Anyway I was in the sme boat as you around a year ago. I was a huge fan of the sausge mcMuffin (made sure it was supersized so i got that extra hasbrown as well). For me that was the hard part giving up my breakfast food. What I did is I removed myself from fast food and changed over to things like fruits, yogurt /w granola, or cereal. I know its hard to do things like like this when living with people that can eat anything. My ex girlfriend could eat anything she wanted and always stay at 115lbs. (It has been proven that people that can eat anything they want and not gain can be a couple of things 1. Rapid metabolism 2. They eat unhealthy than make up by under eating the rest of the day/week). Try to cut out the early morning fast food if you can't do do it completly then gentley ease it out . Cut back to 3 times a week then twice then once. I find don't cut it out completely every week as that could lead to bad cravings and then overeating. For example on Friday I eat whatever I want. ( I have gone from 250+lbs to 159lbs.).

Also do some light exercise go for walks during your breaks or lunch or go for a light run/bike/walk at the end of the day or the start of every day. I went from e|being a complete couch potatoe to a 5 days a week twice a day distance runner and weight lifter. Mind you you don't have to do anything that extreme but I think I'm getting my point across. Anyway I'M really starting to ramble now and I hope this points you in the right direction. Remember IF THE MIND IS WILLING THE BODY WILL CONFORM!
