I first want to say that I am one of the people that need to lose weight. I have read alot of books and found that eating a certain amount of calories a day is essential in helping to burn calories. I believe that watching the calorie intake and finding out what it is for you would be better then a liquid diet for starters.
I also would like to say that I have a cousin that had the stomach surgery to lose weight and it helped her for awhile. She lost alot and then gradually gained about half of what she lost back. She went to another doctor, and he did tests on her and found that she had a thyroid problem, put her on medication for it and she has lost a lot of weight and kept it off and she was told that the surgery was a waste because it was her thyroid al along.
