Hi Vasinger,
First, congratulations for recognizing that you need to do something about your weight. You sound very sincere in wanting to slim down and I know how frustrating it can be when you seem to be doing everything right, but the lbs. just don't melt away.

Question: were you ever checked for a thyroid problem? Underactive?

If no thyroid problem then muddyloss is right - you need to be able to keep track of your intake and output. I just joined an online program that is awesome. I always thought that I ate well, that is, I ate good healthy foods. In just a few days of being on this program I find that yes, the foods I eat are not bad (the program tells you), but I eat too much of them. The program "system" has nudged me towards options. In just a few days I have learned so much. I also input what exercise I do and it automatically calculates the calories i burned, and tells me how many more calories I can eat that day and stay within my allowable limit in order to lose weight. Friday is weigh in - I am not expecting any results yet - maybe a half pound? If you want to check it out here is a link
