I agree with Damien, the secret is to adapt a lifestyle which has a slightly energy negative equation, losing 1lb of fat a week is a sensible level. Ensure you spread your calorie consumption throughout the day, eating 5 or 6 times, ensure you restrict the amount of fat you eat (aim for less than 60 grams per day of total fats).

Plus incorporate weights into your exercise routine, if you can tone-up and add a few pounds of muscle, then you will effectively raise your metabolic rate and find controlling your weight easier.
