Thank you so much for your replies Henjon and Adele. The reason I placed myself on a diet with such a minimum calorie intake is because I am only 5 ft even with a small frame and my lifestyle is more sedentary than it is active, although I have been exercising more. I am at about 114 pounds now and am not sure how many calories I should be consuming to lose the extra fat. I have an extreme pear shape and seem to carry all my weight in the hips and thighs area. Being so short and stocky on top of it has been a major source of embarrassment for me, or rather makes me extremely self conscious. I looked like a caricature before I made the choice to diet. It is impossible to shop for clothes. I want a more balanced and slender shape. I appreciate any thoughts or ideas. Thanks so much for the welcome.
