New to diet discussions
Hi All,
I was searching around looking for something to motivate me and stumbled across this site.
little about me? Well....
I have never really ate well, I didn't have good role models growing up...this milk was for coffee and what was a vegetable????
So when I graduated from High School I moved in with my sister and all we seemed to eat was fast food. Everyday it seemed like I was stuffing junk in my mouth...anyway to make a long story short I battled the bulge ever since. I have tried Weight Watchers, Food for Life, Cabbage soup diets...I couldn't get into any of it, my emotional eating won all the battles.
My heaviest was 310 LBS. I am currently 255 LBS and still working on being healthy.
I see a food consultant every week. They are into everything from exercise programs to healthy eating programs. I have been seeing him for 1 year now and struggle often.
By doing lots of reading and listening I now realize I need to deal with why I eat emotionaly and make some changes to make myself happy. If I don't, the weight will always come back with a few added, like it always has in the past.
I have been having a hard time of it since the holidays. Pulling back the layers as to why I eat is difficult at times but I refuse to give up this time. The wants are never easy to have!!
I hope I can provide some support to some of you and hope you can do the same for me.
