I have never tried weightloss 4 idiots before so I can't give you any advice there. I do have quite a bit more than 5 lbs to lose (30). I have done Body for life before and that has helped. Right now it is not working because I just don't have time to work out 30 min to 1 hour 6x week. I am trying the 8 minutes in the morning program.

I was doing well for 2 weeks and it was working, then my baby got sick, wouldn't nurse or sleep for 2 weeks. I have 2 other children to take care of, a part time work at home job, and many other responsibilities, that I had no time for myself. Now things have settled and I am working on getting back to it. It's difficult getting back on right now with the holidays. My biggest goal right now is to not gain any weight. Then I hope to be cruising along. I am hoping to find support from others through this website.

I have such respect for all mothers now. Of course everyone has respect for moms, but now that I have a baby, I realize what it really means. I understand how there is no time for yourself, although I can't even imagine having more than one child! I come to work each day and relax! It is so much more work taking care of kids than a full-time job is. I completely understand how your priorities for yourself are almost impossible to fulfill. I stopped doing the 20 minute Pilates video b/c I needed that 20 minutes at home for other things. I couldn't find just 20 minutes! I completely understand that there is no time for exercise. I love how I feel when I'm doing it, but it's so hard to give up some extra sleep, or cleaning up a big mess in the kitchen, or chaninging the Diaper Genie, or assembling bottles, or feeding the pets, etc. I admire anyone who can exercise at all!

My weightloss for idiots diet is going very well. I've lost 3 lbs. in 4 days, and I was beginning to think that I would never lose those 3 lbs. I think the best part of it for me is that I'm having success early, and it makes it much easier to continue. I know that I'll do the same thing today that I did yesterday, and not just try, but actually do what I know worked the day before. Without following a diet I can lose one pound in one day, but I know deep down that I can't continue that if I'm deciding what to eat myself. I have one good day and then screw up for 3 days. So, following this menu works great b/c it takes my own poor judgement about what to eat out of the equation. It's also a very do-able menu, even with a baby.

We can do it! We carried babies for 9 months, got them out in an excruciating process, healed from that while feeding and caring for our kids! I am certain that we are more powerful than we, or anyone else, appreciates.
