Smile Hi everyone

Hello! I just started at Diet discussions today and I am really looking forward to this. I really think that it will help me on my way. I guess I can start with my story. I'm a guy by the way. Since I have 13 I have been thinking about my weight constantly. I have tried every diet out there from starving, pills, slimfast, atkins, kimkins, purging, laxatives, fasting. EVERYTHING! All it did was make me fatter. I mean when I was on the diets I of course was thinner but afterwards I gained weight so fast! I have some old journals all the way back from 7th grade and I think I will share with you my weights and everything from then.

7th Grade
I started at 145 pounds and about 5'3. Now that i think back I was never THAT big just had some little kid fat on me, but for some reason the kids picked on me really bad for being fat. I didn't know much about diets then so I ran only like 10 minutes per day and did some stupid HALF diet my mom used to talk about. Make ur plate like normal and eat 1/2 of everything. No nutritional value at all, but anyway by the end of the year I was 125 and people stopped picking on me.

8th Grade
I gained about 5 pounds over summer so I was like 130, but I wanted more! I wanted to lose weight so bad. I started obsessively researching dieting and exercising. It appealed to me so much. Then of course I would come across extreme pages where people told me how they lost 5 pounds in one day, so I decided to do those things too! I took laxatives and tried so hard not eat. When I couldnt take it anymore I ate everything in site. I tried to throw up everytime and I just couldn't....Until one day. It took me about 2 hours to throw up everything but I thought this was the miracle. It sounds bad, but I got better at it. By that meaning it just became easier and in shorter time. By summer I was 107 pounds and about 5'5. I thought I looked awesome, but now kids were making fun of me because I was too thin. My mother and father didn't understand eating disorders so they said JUST EAT and DONT throw up. I saw a documentary on thr E! station about the effects of bulimia so I decided I was going to stop and I did.

9th Grade
9th grade was a good year, I had normal teenage eating habits. I had friends for the first time in my life I weighed about 145-150 and I was like 5'6 so I looked healthy. BUT I was slowly gaining more weight and not noticing.

10th Grade
Before I knew it my sophmore year, I was up to 165 pounds. I was miseralbe again. I didn't understand. I was so happy before but I hated how I looked at 165. My face got fat and stomach got really fat and people let me know. Not in a mean way, but they would say things like, "Get a belly there, ay?" It really hurt me. Sooo...That's when I did every diet you could think of. But when summer came around, I had had enough, and I remembered what worked for me last time.

11th Grade
It was summer and I wanted to be thin so bad. I was desperate. SO I started purging again. And, of course, it worked. By the time school started back up I was 145 again and people were telling me how good I looked. So I wanted more and more. I slowed it down a bit but I was steadily bulimic until senior year. I got down to about 130.

12th Grade and Up
I have been gaining weight since my senior year in high school. I am almost 21 now. Last week, I hit my all time high of 177 and I said enough is enough, but this time is SOOOO MUCH DIFFERENT. I will not crash diet, I will not diet period. I will eat healthy and exercise which is something I have never tried in my life. I'll eat 1100-1600 Calories a day and start running. It is has been 6 days of eating healthy and exercising and I have lost 6.5 pounds. I know it's my first week so I will lose weight fast this week. Don't worry, I only expect to loes 1-3 pounds per week after this week, and I am perfectly happy with that. I am so happy doing what I am doing now. This is the easiest diet I have ever done, because I GET TO EAT! withouth throwing it up. I GET to exercise without fainting! I love this. I really would love everyone here's support in helping me beat this demon I have been facing for 8 years before it is too late. I want to be happy and healthy!
