Diet no more...

My personal thought is that "dieting" is something that is short-term and unsustainable. If someone truly wants to lose weight and feel great for the rest of their life, they need to create a shift in their lifestyle choices.

Quick fixes are horrible, make you cranky and ultimately fail. I have always gravitated toward "diet plans" that are really more guidance for healthy living and eating.

I have a dear friend who teaches and trains people, he also does a lot of volunteer work and public speaking. His training and wellness perspectives are great because he only trains part-time. I hate to hear from trainers and experts about healthy living because they are surrounded by it...it's easier for them.

What about the normal people who have every day lives with jobs in a cubicle, families at home and so many obligations? My friend has helped me learn to navigate the world while staying healthy.

What suggestions and thoughts do you all have on the subject? Quick fixes to me are horrible and really dangerous in the long-term.
