I'm new here too and am also looking for chef's point of view. I saw the idiot diet and was wondering about it. I gained lots of weight with my second pregnancy and didn't lose it before I got pregnant again. I'm still 20 pounds "overweight" and am going on vacation at the end of the month. I exercise regularly (yoga & pilates, also weight training) and am much stronger. Even though I know this diet is not a long term solution, what do you think about it for a particular short term goal, such as being able to fit into some of my clothes for my vacation instead of buying new ones? (I am currently a sweatpants gal). Do you see a problem with that? And if it is just water weight, how can you lose this excess water weight without paying for a diet? My vacation is being paid for by someone else because we are financially tight. I would just like to be able to wear some of my old clothes instead of sweatpants in Cali.
