[b][i][font=Times][color=green]Alrighty, been awhile since i posted here.
First of all i dont think Brian is putting the wl4i diet down, he is just expressing his concern, and i for one thank him for that, awarness and knowledge are the keys to success.
Alot of what he says if not all is pretty much dead on.
but at the same time lets go alittle further into this, what scares me and i know people like brian too, is that most people are willing to jump onto any "diet" that promises to make you lose <how ever much weight, in what ever time limit> yet they fail to really understand what they are losing, or how and last but not least why.
I have been researching the WL4I diet for a few weeks now, and i bought the plan this week to fully check it out.
Let me explain my decision to try this :lifestyle change" . for me it will not be a diet, the basic rules of eating smaller meals 4 times a day is something i must start doing, for a few years i have been an avid meal skipper and sometimes go days without ever being hungry talk about a way to distroy your system!
so that part of it is needed, as well as the intake of more water and alot less other fluids, so easy it is to fall into the pop, coffee crap cycle. and when you drink a coffee double double, and use it as a crutch to get through the day, then your pretty much running your system off of refined processed sugars and ewww thats just terribly unhealthy.
the food on the wl4i is dead on with what i normaly eat day to day, IF i choose a menu with more veggies/fruit and less meat!
What i have found, is that i can utilize this program to better my lifestyle, loosing weight is going to be a give in, first week or 2 will be water loss, but just simply cutting out the serious sugar/simple carb addiction i have will put me on the road to reversing the weight gain. For thos of us who have alot of extra baggage, dont exersize enough, have bad eating habits, it is a start to a healthier lifestyle.
Now i was and still worry slightly about little things in the diet, but i have taken the time to find what supplements and vitamins my body will need to take in with this life style change, in order to runn smoothly, i worry that others are not doing the same
For me WL4I is a foot in the door, in making these changes i will have started in the right direction.
after i lose some of this weight i will be bringing up my exercize levels and making more better choices and changes.
when i feel that i have this addiction, and health problem under firm control and alot of the extra weight behind me, i do not plan to slip back to where i am now, i am making positive changes to my lifestyle for the remainder of this life. picking up my level of fitness along the way, and being aware of what i am putting into my body and where it can get me will keep me on the straight and narrow!
Phara!!! shit girl you cant eat at 2 pm and go the rest of the day then night with no fuel in your system, that is a recipie for disaster!!!
it states that you should wait "at least 2 1/2 hours in between each meal . not to eat every 2 1/2 hours
little misunderstandings like that scare me!!!
because i am breast feeding i am upping my meals to 5 a day, i will have a fruit smoothy each morning at 7-8 and start my meals 2-3 hours after that.
i have been told not to do this <_< but i know it is needed, and as i always say, if it doesnt sound right or feel right then it aint right.
So i will go ahead and follow my own feelings on this.
i think the problem alot of are having with this wl4i is that they are not really willing to start eating the healthy foods, fruit veggies, unprocessed foods, whole grains etc...
so they pick alot of the same foods over and over in their meal plans
i may be a simple carb/ sugar addict, but i eat food as natural as i can get it. its only when i get down or busy or stressed when i reach for the crap food. so in changing mylifestyle i am also learning how to cope with stress with meditation again, and doing more relaxing thing, making time for ME.
<hard with 6 young kids> lol
for alot of people there are emotional addictions and problems that need to be worked out and solved/healed before they are truly ready for lifestyle change, or they will just slipp right back.
I have made these steps, opened my eyes and healed alot of issues over the last few years, so now i am ready to step forward and deal with changing the pysical problems.
for me i just fear the end results when others jump on a crash diet, or look for ways to fix the apperance by any means without understanding how they got to that place in the first time... then only to return there.
so for me this isnt a diet" its one part of a lifestyle change for the better.
good luck to you all i hope you all find what you search for, just be cautious of what you do, and please listen to your body it will tell you/show you if you are doing damage or running it low.
Love & Light to you all
Autumn
P.S~ sorry to go on for so long. lol got alittle carried away, its late and i cant sleep hope i got my message across, if not just ignore the post
