Hi

Weight loss is always slower when you have not much to lose. It can also plateau when you have a lot to lose and this can be very frustrating! The thing to do is just keep going - it is the body's wayof testing you!

have you ever noticed that you can reach a certain weight and it doesn't matter what you do, you seem to stay at that weight? Yhis is because yyour body has adjusted to being this weight. what you have to do is perservere until you have reacheed your desired goal and then teach your body to become used to this new weight via a good maintenance programme. Remember, your body is designed to cope with long term starvation and is going to hold on to those fat stores as long as it can - for emergencies!

As for plateauing idoes not hurt to go on a short term strict regime - (and I mean short term - up to week only) just to get your body moving again. Cut the bad czrbs out and eat as many good carbs and quality protein as you can.

I have written a short article on this - if you are intereseted go to gocarbsgoodcarbs@getresponse.com

Hope that is useful

take care
