Many people are jealous of other people's success. The will be your friend as long as you are in the same shape that they are in.
When you lose all that weight they may no longer want to be your friend but that means they were never really your friends in the first place.
Anyone who would hold you back is not your friend. Friends are supposed to care about you. With friends like that who needs enemies?
I play in bands professionally and I see the fat thin politics play out in the clubs night after night. Heavy single girls do not want slender girls hanging around with them. They don't like the competition. Guys are usually not like that. I have rarely been treated badly by fat men because I am lean and fit. I guess with looks being less important to men they don't worry if another man looks better than them.
