Hello, I am new

I am a 17 year old female that needs to lose weight. I am not just a typical teen worried about their weight so I can get guys to like me. I am 263 pounds and I am only 5feet 5 inches tall. I am very worried that if i do not lose atleast 100 pounds that i will die at a young age. My entire family is big, and i was maintaining a weight of about 220-230 for a long time until i started working at a fast food restaurant, even then i kept weight off for a little while, but in the past year i have put on about 40 pounds. I really would like to lose weight, but it is very hard for me. My parents don't supposrt me very much, they usually just laugh when i tell them i want to attempt it and they just laugh at me. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to lose some weight.

Hi. I am fairly new here also. Through my perosnal experiences and those of friends/family I have learned that "If you continue to do as you have been doing, you will continue to get as you have been getting." Losing weight is not a quick fix. You must change your lifestyle and eating habits.
My goal weight loss is 20 lbs. I am watching calories and fat. NO POP! Not even diet because it has been clinicaly proven that even though there are no calories in diet pop, the super sweet taste will make you crave other sweet treats.
I have been taking an all natural appetite suppresant called "BE THIN." It contains Hoodia and Gymnema sylvestre. Hoodia helps control appetite. Gymnema sylvestre controls sugar cravings and reduces the taste of sugar to your taste buds.
So far I have lost 4 lbs. I have been taking BE THIN for about 3 weeks. But, during the holidays I totally pigged out!
