Thumbs up

Hi Nicky & Manon,

Just joined & just finished reading the WL4Idiots site....would really like more information. How are you two doing???

Could you share the list of "fat burning foods" and some program basics? I'd really like to get more info before I commit to "another" program and more $$$$$$

I did well on WW but also got tired of the tracking points. There was also a "plan" within the WW point system where one could do basically what WL4Idiots sounds like........It "fools" the body & shifts metabolism. For example I was on 24-30 points so I multiplied that [both high & low] by 7 days. then did extreme rebalancing of points. Really HIGH day 1- mid range day 2- very low day 3- high day 4- mid low day 5- middle day 6- mid low day 7..........really got me off the plateau and it worked for a couple of months averaging 1.5-3 lbs. per week. Then my body seemed to "catch on" and hit 6 week plateau!!!!

Started yesterday with more protein & only unrefined carbs...plan on giving that a week to see what happens.

I do follow the watercure2 advice....take 1/2 your weight & drink that many ounces of water per day [190 lbs. would drink 95 oz.] You work up to it gradually. DO NOT try to jump to it all at once!!!!! That has really helped me a lot; not just in losing weight but achy joints & all over feeling better.

Good to be here & hope you can help with my questions about the WL4Idiots plan.
Namaste, reikigal

Dieting isn't a term for something you do for a short time, it's a lifetime. ALthough measuring out portions can be tedious, it is something that has to be done. What if a doctor or nurse decided they didn't want to measure out doses anymore? Check out http://home.earthlink.net/~the-fat-race this diet has worked for me.

Actually, for me, I have had the opposite experience with potatoes. Potatoes are one of my best "diet" foods. They fill me up for the fewest points (I'm on weight watchers), and in my experience they don't seem to be hindering my weight loss. They do have starch, but unlike white pasta and white rice, they have a little fiber too, so the glycemic index (a measure of how quickly glucose enters the bloodstream) is lower than rice and pasta.

I'm Nicky!!!! I have just found this forum today and I have a weight loss question. I am trying to find a suitable weight loss program - I have done Weight Watchers and have been successful, but am sick of points counting and measuring my food quantities etc. I found the "Weight Loss 4 Idiots" program on the web at www.weightloss4idiots.com (via www.amazon.com) and was wondering if anyone out there has tried it? Its about "shifting calories" and adjusting your metabilism. Before I make a decision to purchase this program, I wanted some feedback on this program - if it works or is it a scam? Any advice is appreciated.

Nicky

Hi Nicky and anyone else interested in the results from weightloss for idiots. I have completed 3 eleven day segments of the diet and lost 24 lbs. The diet is simple and works for me. I live alone and am not interested in cooking whole meals. This diet consists of 1 item meals four times a day and works with my life style. You get three days after each eleven day stint to eat any thing you want and then back on the diet. Sort of best of both worlds. I think the key to this diet is the water (eighty oz. a day), eating only until you are satisfied and the 2 1/2 hours between meals. The hardest part of the diet is the fruit and vegetable day and only three meals of them on that particular day. I tried the Atkins diet and really missed veggies, fruit and bread. This diet is high protien and low carb also but it is not a carb free diet. No keto stix and overall a relatively inexpensive diet to go on. I started the fouth segment but wasn't losing so decided to take a longer break( was also going on vacation). It has been two weeks. I have gained back eight lbs but am starting again. Will post results. Special bonus: I was having a few problems with sugar and this diet eliminated those problems, my skin looks better and I do have more energy. Hope this help. PS: Thought this 27.00 was well spent.
