Introduction

Hi all! Just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 29 year old female from Minnesota.
I found this site after a search for a place I could pop into from time to time when I need encouragement, diet ideas.. etc.
I have A LOT of events coming up in the next year and I gained about 30 pounds last year
With my brothers wedding in the virgin islands in Novemeber and I have another wedding in August for some friends that have NEVER seem me fat... I MUST get this extra weight off. I have already lost about 9 pounds and I just joined a gym last week. I have pretty consistantly lost one pound a week. I would really love to get that up to 2 pounds a week. I hope getting into the gym 4-6 days a week makes that happen for me. Anyone have any input on getting my weight loss up to 2 pounds a week??

calorie intake. I found that if you watch your calorie intake and eat six small meals a day..portion control helps..it helped me. As long as you keep something in your stomach that is healthy and enough to make you feel full your bodys motablilism will keep burning..some think if you dont eat that youll lose more weight but what ive found out is that isnt true. In fact your body stops burning fat when you fast. And wears you down and makes you weak and less energy taking away from fat but burning up your muscle. I would say slim down to to 1200-1400 a day..some days maybe less some maybe more they end up evening themselves out in the long run. Vary your snack choices alot of great 100 calorie snacks out there that arent bland. And the whole carb thing dont let it bother you caloire intake does matter believe it or not but do give yourself a cheat day every once in a while.
