Exclamation advice for dieting while on vaca?

I'm going on vacation to another state in the summer to visit some of my relative for an entire month. I really need help on how to keep eating healthy{i just started}. I don't want it to look like I'm on a "diet" or trying to lose weight, I just want to eat healthier. And I don't want to say, "I'm on a diet, I don't want to eat that." I have more family there, about an hour or two away, so I'm going to be switching houses while on the one month trip.
The last time I was there, about three years ago, and they weren't exactly eating healthy. Homemade dinner ingredients would include a lot of salt, sugar, and oil. They didn't have any brown rice either, just white rice. And the proportions are huge.
We'd go out to eat at least twice a week. I don't know, and wouldn't think, that they would go out of their way and drive me to a supermarket to buy me fruits, vegetables, and whole wheat bread. And I don't know how I would ask or suggest my aunts and uncles to put less oil in their recipes. We're more reserved, never up front.
Can someone please, please, please give me any kind of advice, tips, suggestions, anything really to help me with my situation?
I'm a young female adult if that matters.

Thumbs up

eat healthy by cutting down on your oil intake, and maybe eating lesser amounts of sweets than your usual (if you do like to eat sweets). maybe you can also drink fewer sodas or softdrinks...that will give you a healthier diet, and yeah eat more veggies than carbs. then you will be healthier.

how would i keep from consuming oil? from homemade meals and restaurant meals. i don't want to ask the waiter or something to put less oil, i don't want it to be totally obvious i'm on a diet. veggies have carbs though, don't they? i really need help with this
