Well then perhaps I oughta "get on the ball!" ok, so it was cheesy.

Jeep - my mom is up in CT, and their HUGE Husky fans. In fact, I got on the bandwagon and totally flipped when they swept the NCAA Basketball tournies a couple years ago. KSU, however, is Kent State - home of the Golden Flashes. If we have any legit rival, it's probably U of Akron, but even then, our sports programs are kind of weak - we're in the MAC. UConn rules.

OK - So hold me to this: I'm going today and I'm going to get one of those balls from Walmart. I don't mind aching the next day - it in fact psyches me into knowing I did some good. My son should have a blast watching me attempt not falling right off the thing. Ask me the next time you post if I've done it every day. I'm going to stick to your advice.

Wish me luck!
Sarah

Nah, Sarah, you won't need luck

I think I'm going to start a thread, or forum here, that makes people check in and report their progress on their exercises..a running total of sorts.

And you're right, your son will have a blast watching his mom attempt the ball It's only natural

hey.. well first of all i'd like to commend u all for even taking a step towards a better you. It takes a real love for urself to admit there is a problem, get a plan and execute it. I am a singer/songwriter that u guys may have heard of before.. and they always trying to make you think thin is in, however beauty is only skin deep. im 5 ft and weigh 138 lbs currently .. im not fat but im still over weight according to certain charts. however people look at me and say girl u look fabulous.. but sometimes to me im like " yeah right" but then i realized.. I do look fabulous. Im smart, successful, headstrong and have a desire to progress in anything that I do.. how much more fabulous would i want to be... Realize you have to look inside yourself, figure out what it is that you want and visualize yourself being just the way you want to be. Everyday affirm ***I am my ideal weight and I love the way I look.** when u look in the mirror see yourself smiling and happy because you have achieved your success. If its thinner, see yourself in the mirror
** lbs. thinner. the more u see it mentally you will attract the success u long for. but if u keep saying it's so hard for me to lose these last 10 lbs what do you think is going to happen.. u will never lose them because you tell your subconious mind that you CAN'T. alot of this stuff is a mind thing. and if we run to the fridge everytime our mind tells us to, what do we expect will happen. we cant let our minds control what we do. we have to control it. Even though im in the industry claims we should look like rthis and that, we ALL battle with weight at some point or another. this is actually the heaviest i've ever been besides beign pregnant with my son. i used to be real tiny but i never want to be that small again either. i think 125 would be cool for me. HOWEVER my weight hasnt stoped me from being successful.. Im still on top of the world caue " I SEE MYSELF on top " So i excersice more now, and i eat less cause i didnt realize it wasnt what i was eating but rather how much of it i was consuming that was killing me. You wont believe what Beyonce eats to maintain her flawless figure but as you can all see.. it still goes to her hips. well the bottom line is it takes patience, persistance and consitance = resistance.
i commend all of you for taking the 1st stepping in accepting u need to shed a few lbs but most important "Feel good a bout yourself" no matter what people say YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.. and only U can make yourself Unpretty. I love you all but most of all Please " Love Yourself".
and congrats on taking the steps towards a new healtier and beautiful YOU!!
IF you'd like more info on creative visulation and weight loss affirmations.. email me and i'll get the links to you ok..

Hey all,

I joined this forum for input. I don't want to hear about inner beauty and all that because those thoughts are nice but not reality and not helpful to actual weight loss.

I am, like my screen name, in the middle. Not obese but not as thin as i'd like to be, not nearly as close. At 5'-7", I weigh between 172 and 176 on any given day. I am solid, lots of muscle from weight lifting before childbirth, 4 yrs ago. I get outrageously hungry, to the point where I get dizzy etc. I have been tested for diabetes repeatedly, always negative. I try to eat low carb but without fiberous cereals, wheat breads and certain fruits, I become badly constipated. What kind of battle is this? Be thin and full of crap or be overweight and function normal.

I get real depressed at times, I give up-I use the "just this one last "bad food" item excuse", I hate excercise, even walking. This really stinks.

Any advice? Anyone?
