Sunday night I ran across a program on The Learning Channel: "I Can Make You Thin", a self-help book, now a TV program hosted by the book's author Paul McKenna, British weight loss guru and hypnotist with a PhD in human behavior. The first segment talked about controlling emotional eating using a method of tapping acupressure points. In other episodes McKenna offers tips on curbing cravings, and revving up your metabolism. Another episode will be aired this coming Sunday. He also has a website which covers the topics on the TV show. Search on his name and you'll find the website. I'm in the process of reading all the material he offers on the site.
He has four rules for eating: 1. When you're hungry, eat. 2. Eat what you want. 3. Eat consciously. 4. When you think you are full, stop eating. Sounds simple.
Have any of you tried McKenna's weight loss program? What is your experience? I'm anxious to give it a try.
