Having trouble losing weight

Here is the my problem...

My work is about 4miles away, so around 2-3 times a week, I ride the bike. I usualy have a pop-tart for breakfast, a medium size lunch (sandwich\chips or leftovers) and a medium size dinner. We go out to eat once or twice a week for dinner. Last night I had a breakfast - bacon, eggs, breakfast potatoes, and pancakes. I do not snack very much at all, infact the only time I do snack is if I had a very small lunch. I havent gained any weight or lost any. I am new to dieting, so I am a little clueless. I want to drop 30-40lbs in the next 6months. Please help.

I also drink Diet Coke alot... water here and there. I also go to fast food restuarants once in awhile.

Now, a friend of mine said that he couldnt drop weight while working out... but when he stopped for 2 months, the weight just dropped. Wish that could happen to me.

Sounds like maybe you've replaced fat with muscle so the weight stays the same for awhile but muscle will start to burn fat better eventually I think. So your did your friend keep it off is the question?

Visit Healthatoz.com. Pick up a Manager - Fitness or Diet.

Enter the weight you want to lose.

Enter your daily food intake.

Enter your daily workout regimen.

It will:

Tell you if 6 months is a reasonable time frame to lose weight

What daily nutritional supplements you are missing on your diet

What daily intake needs to be to lose the weight.

It's very cool. Gives you graph and projected weight loss and everything. I lost 60lbs within 2 years and maintained it during that time frame. 30 - 40 lbs is a reasonable weight loss for 6 months. But you need a plan. And finding out what you need to do is a start.

Please let me know if this has helped you in anyway. And drop me a note on my diet and fitness blog. Link is below. Thanks and good luck!

I don't know if you're checking back in but also the reason you might not be eating snacks is that it sounds like your fat intake is way way up there.
Pop tarts have a lot of grams of fat I'm pretty sure. The bacon, fried stuff etc...are just even steven with the workout I think. There is a great calorie counter online that tells you how many calories and grams of fat are in food.
Breakfast helps you not binge the rest of the day. Egg whites using pam rather than butter, oatmeal, fruit etc...breakfast is the one I've got down, workin on the rest.
Good luck =)

I have lost weight before and i know where your coming from. My weight fluctuates so i have to re gain control. My advice to you is to cut back on the greasy oily food and the rich carbohydrates. You dont have to delete them totally from your lifestyle just moderation. Oh and water has many benefits it should be your best friend. Good Luck!!

Hope that will also happens with you. You eat less but still you gain your weight or stuck with same. Changing your eating plans alone never helps you. You should also do some workout that keeps you and your body fit. Go for a walk daily, do exercises and eat healthy fat free food.
