Hello, I have a concern about my weight about 14 months ago I weighed over 200ibs and now I weight around 160ibs. Am i over weight? Im an medium sized guy with a 32 waist, im 6ft tall and im quite an athletic guy who runs and goes to the gym on a regular basis. I've checked various BMI scales on the internet and they say im fine but im not so sure. My concern is i dont know how much I should eat on a daily basis i read literature from books and on the web and they give a huge variety of results from a dailly intake of 1,800 calories upto 2,800 calories a day. I find all this information confusing if you could forward me to some websites or reliable literature on dailly caloric/ fat rates for a person such as me who runs 3-4 times a week and goes to the gym 1-2 a week it would be greatly appreciated because this is a growing concern to myself. If you give me your height as well as your weight and your "type" - pear shaped (carry weight on hips), apple shaped (carry weight on upper body - ie, beer bellies!) or proportionate (carry weight throughout body) then i will be able to give you your resting metabolic rate - ie, how many calories you need to consume just so your body can function.
