ok my problem is kinda different from most peoples i guess. i am 28 male and overweight by around 80 to 100 lbs. i am not very active and i am a very very very picky eater. my foods choices contain mostly bread items ,salty foods, junk food, and of course pop.

i am a bigger built guy. i know i will never be small and i am ok with that. i would however like to be at a normal weight or there abouts with how i am built. i would say right now i am alittle over 300lbs and would like to make it to around 220 to 200lbs for my goal weight. i figure with me being 5 ft 10 that would be ok.

now for my problem. i have been lighting weights as of late and find that not so bad. i do try and walk as much as i can when i get out of the house but thats not often enough to make much of a difference. my eating habits are the main reason i am here. i know if i could get those under control a bit and loose some of this weight i would be more active and would want to get out more and do things.

i try and drink upwards of about 128 ounces of water a day now. i have cut down on my pop alot. i do feel alittle better from doing that. i run into the problem with not liking many foods, i dont like most vegs and fruits, i dont like most heathly foods in general. i know some of what i eat is ok if it is eaten in small portians and not all the time. problem is thats all i eat and all i really like.

so my question is how can someone like me lose weight and not have to eat things i cant stand (ill leave it at this, eating alot of these food that are healthy makes me physically sick). i know getting more active would help and thats fine i hope to do that soon but what about eating? i know i cant just stop eating all together. i only eat about 2 times a day as is and snack small here and there. i have cut out alot of my pop that i used to drink. was drinking nearly a 12 pack a day and now im down to maybe 4 cans.

i also dont know about all these diet pills out there and i know most wont work well unless you have an active life style and eat right. as far as excersicing goes i know i should do more of that but have no energy to do much more then i do now.

please can someone help me?

Yep, i can offer you some advice..as I used to be well over 300lbs and young.

The best thing I can suggest is to eat MORE times throughout the day. Not little stuff either. We need to get your metabolism moving. Working out is a great way to do it.

The best thing to do is to picture your metabolism (which burns calories/fat) as a big, moving wheel. The energy you expend the more it turns. The more it turns, the more it eats up calories and fat (and sometimes muscle depending on what you don't eat).

By eating meals 4-6 times a day (small meals), you now force your metabolism to work harder at burning off your foods. This results in your body doing more and burning up more junk in your body. This is what you want.

Now, as for foods..you're doing awesome on water intake. What about cereal? Cheerios or toast? Do you like eggs? What about making an egg omelette with some greens?

For lunch, do you like sandwiches? Cut the mayo and keep the mustard. Eat wheat bread instead of enriched white bread. You can still have a great tasting, healthy sandwich..you just need to make some alterations to it.

Protein..protein..protein..i can't stress it enough. eggs, chicken, tuna, steak, milk (low fat or 1%) should be staples of your diet.

If you have any other questions, post 'em up! That's what I'm here for.
