Talking I'm new

I'm new at this site. I just fell upon this site when I was looking up the Kiloral product by omega science or whatever. I thought this site looked really interesting since I too am struggling with this whole weight and diet thing. I'm also interested in the fact that people on this site are from around different parts of the country. So, I have a question for the people over in Europe..... I here rumors that Europe has special weight loss secrets and supplements that the FDA in the USA dont want people to know about....Please help me with this question...

y'know, I live in Europe and I think our so called 'secret' is that the food isn't sold in such huge portions, like in the US. A Medium milkshake in Europe is a small milkshake in the US. Same story for fries etc.
Still, I think the USA is a place where you have great uppetunities to lose weight, (you guys almost have a low calorie version of everything) but also a lot oppertunities to gain weight (I don't think I've seen a bigger collection of various donuts, muffins etc anywhere else in the world)

But all those "special weight loss secrets & supplements" that we Europeans are supposed to have....I'm sorry, that's just a myth. If that were true I wouldn't be dieting right now in the first place

Malena,

What about the french secret version of losing weight. Something about the french being able to eat ANYTHING and still lose weight. I heard guys my size- 6'1 and 235lbs is very uncommon for a body type over there

Thank guys. Thats what I thought. I'm originally from iceland and my grandmother told me that its because we have certain chemicals that get put in our food that make us in the USA fat and want more food. Its not just the fact that we have a McDonalds on every corner I can tell you one thing that I know for sure is healthy and thats Cod liver Oil. The stuff I get from my family in Iceland called Lesi. I've been taking that since I was born and so has 95% of the population. Its awesome. I can also tell you something else that is safe and offective is this colon cleanse called "Dr Natura Colonic colon cleanse". That stuff I've been on for 1 1/2 months and its working great. If you want to read more about it it's on DrNatura.com. I've asked my Dr and done A LOT of research to make sure its safe and its the safest one so far. I've brought about 20 different colon cleanses to my Dr for her opinion and this one was the best. She told me to tell her how it goes and then she might try it. It has also helped me lose alittle weight cause of all the garbage I have inside of me.

Jeeplaw has a point..I'm kind of interested in that question too

Malena494, The diets over here are not all thats cracked up to be. They are big hypes. actually, I dont know if anyone has heard of Kevin Tredeau. I just started looking in on him. He writes the book "Natural Cures They Dont Want You to Know About." I am starting to agree with what he says. The FDA does not want Americans to be thin or know about any cures about anything. If there were cures there would be no jobs. No Dr's, no fund raisers ect. If Americans are obese we get sick, if we get sick drs want us to take drugs, if we take drugs we make the pharmacies money. Its all a big circle of money over here. Nobody thinks about other people, just about themselves and money over here. As for bigger portions I agree with you there. But, its not just the bigger portions. Its also what they put in our food.

About that theory, I have no clue. It's the first time I heard of it. I do think you should consider it's eggarated. I am aware it's a big circle of money, but in the end, becoming/staying thin is all up to yourself. Even if that theory is true, that doesn't mean you can't become thin. Because you can buy the right food, go to the gym, lift weights and excersise.

The problem is, the 'wrong' food a.k.a the food that makes us fat is there in so many (tasty) variations and covered up by things they advertise with, like for example "all natural ingredients (which doesn't neccecairily mean it's low in calories.)" I think that confuses ppl a lot, thus makes them fat by buying it. And when you're surrounded by yummy food with loads of calories, it's difficult not to eat it. It takes willpower and disipline to change bad eating habits.

Anyway, that's my opinion.
