goal
I am a starter! I have cross stitch projects that I have started 3 years ago. I began a course in Business Management and Law Enforcement-Corrections. Started to train for a marathon. Finisher? I need some help in that department! My diet attempts go great in the morning and by 4:00 and two Twinkies later I feel blah about the process. I have ne problem with exercising, I love the way your body feels afterward, but sugar addiction is bigger than that. I would like to do more than balance out my intake, but can't stop the earg to eat constantly.

my goal is to lose 28 lbs. I have already lost 10lbs. So technically I want to lose 18 lbs.
I am loading up on the vitamin B12's or other B's. I try and work out 3 times per week min. I would have to say portion control . I did not realize how much I ate at on sitting, enough for any army. So today June 10th, I have 18 lbs to go. I will keep you posted.

Does reducing fat intake make sense ?
Hello,
When you see another ad promoting a wonder fat intake reducing product - what is your reaction ? You say : "OK, let`s try it. It will make getting slim easier."
But do you think about consequences of such a diet. Even the author of low-fat or almost no-fat diet had to give it up when he saw fatal results for his health.
So what is it all about ?
First - you should realise the majority of fats you ingest differ much from those our ancestors ate in previous centuries. And here is the clue.
Avoid what is offered at typical store, especially hydrogenated oils, reach in toxic trans-fatty acids.
Try natural products e.g. virgin coconut oil as the main source of your daily calories and you will see : higher rate of metabolism, more energy to work, no craving for sweets.
If you combine it with uptake of Omega-3 oils, high-fiber, low-carb diet plus a lot of water - the results are guaranteed.
And your health is not going to suffer from such insane inventions as "fat intake reducer".
It makes me sick to see such ads.
Surely, if you do not care - about the risk of degeneration of your nervous system, lower immunity and others - you can eat it.
But you will sooner digest your own brain (mostly fat and protein) than get slim !
I advise you to read excellent articles of Dr. Joseph Mercola at mercola com
A quote:
"To really understand the benefits of coconut oil, I suggest you read Dr. Mary Enig and Sally Fallon's article "The Truth About Saturated Fat" to first dispel any lingering notions you may have that all saturated fats are dangerous."
Regards,
Jacek

My goal is... and I need HELP
I need to lose 55 pounds. I've already lost 18lbs using a weight loss program that I was finally able to follow. My problem is will-power. My family is from the south so I grew up in the winter time on food like chittlins, collard greens with ham hocks, baked macaroni and cheese, ham, potato salad, black-eyed peas and rice, ribs, oxtail, etc., etc.,. (Whew, sorry, got carried away) So for me winter was a bad time to eat better because winter foods are so heavy. Summer was a bad time for me with it's fried green tomatoes, fried corn, fried chicken, potato salad, etc., etc., sorry again . Anyway, you see what I mean. Well the pounds have just poured on, and these are no longer comfort foods for me - I need to make a change.
I started my weight loss plan in June, with a natural weight loss product, vitamins and Omega-3, I've cut out all meats but not fish and seafood. I've learned to make my favorite foods in a more healthy way but I've still reached a plateau. I know I need to add some sort of exercise. I've got a treadmill and I watch exercise TV - yeah, I said it right - I watch. I just can't always find the motivation to get up off my butt.
HELP!!!!!! I need to get off this plateau before the weight starts to return. What are you all using to get motivated to exercise? Are there any informal exercise groups in the Queens, NY area that have room for one more - maybe that will help?

Hi!!
I would love to find a buddy! I am getting over a broken leg, and using the crutches made me realize that I had really let myself go. It was really hard for me to use them. It took all the energy I had just to move 50 feet on my crutches, and I realized that I was seriously in bad bad shape. I had lost 17 pounds earlier this year, only to gain back 9. In January, I was 240. Last time I weighed, sometime in May, I was 232. These are the highest I had ever let myself get. I'm having a hard time finding clothes and feeling good about myself. School is about to start soon, and I want to lose some weight before it starts, in about a month. I just need someone to keep me accountable. My goal is to eventually get down to around 120-130 pounds. HELP, PLEASE!!

New member - need support!!!!!
Hi guys. I'm Melissa, a 30 year old mother of one. Im looking for some support in my quest to lose 16 lbs. Im currently at 156... looking to get back to 140. I weighed 140 2 years ago and was very comfortable with this weight. AT 5 ft 6 this is not skinny by any means but I would be VERY happy with this weight. I started my low calorie diet a little over a week ago at 161 so have already made some progress. Please offer any advice.
