This is my first post on this forum. And it has been very hard for me to come to grips with even posting.
I've had issues with food my entire life. Since I have graduated college I've gone through some very significant changes (I played my last season of basketball... something I loved and have been doing since middle school... my 3.5 yr relationship with my ex ended, I was without a job for awhile and I just started my first, real, salaried job about a week and a half ago. I've started a new relationship with someone that I am not so sure about, etc).
So, in some twisted way... all of these events have taken a huge toll on my eating habits. I've never been fat... but since Nov. I have gained almost 15lbs. It is sickening.
I really just want someone to talk with and to help me stay in check with my daily food intake. I entered to run a 5K race (I ran cross country as well) and I would like to start training for that. I just want to get back in shape and stop eating the foods I know I should not eat. And just to have someone understand where I am coming from... because no one else seems to.
Hey Jess, you came to the right place. Let's break it down..what kind of eating habits do you have now? What kind of eating habits do you want?
What do you consider bad foods..and which foods do you want to incorporate more into your diet?
I know alllll to well about a woman who ran long distance, gained weight (alot more than 15lbs) and then lost it. She and I eventually ran a 10k together (this was several years ago). To put it into perspective. She started at 181lbs and finished 12 weeks later at 138lbs. She was also an athlete growing up.
So if you want motivation, you came to the right place.
