Talking hello

hello there im new to the forums aswell i was wondering how many of you guys are on a diet know i have been thinking about going on the atkins diet but im a little worried. am i better off just going to the gym and eating salad?

I tried Atkins. I lost weight, but gained it all back, because it isn't a real lifestyle...at least not one that I could live with!! I started working with a doctor at triforlife.net and they really helped me to change my habits. Between the accountability, support and education I went from 260 to 137 n 1.5 years. I have more to go, but I now have hope, and I know that I couldn't have done it without them!

I did Atkins and have lost 50lbs and kept it off.

Both of my parents did it as well. My mom, who can't excercise due to a medical condition, has lost 55lbs and kept it off.

My dad did it to support her, but doesn't anymore, as he's miltary and PTs and needs the carbs.

I would use it for weight loss, but you have to watch what you eat once you're done. If you eat junk, of course you're going to gain all your weight back.

If you eat healthy and excercise, you should be able to keep off the weight.
