New here
Hi,
I've started my weight loss journey. I prefer to call it my journey to good health. I started with quitting smoking 1 1/2 yrs ago and now I'm attacking my weight issues. I've been exercising and I've been trying to follow the Body for Life for Women food plan. I'm currently an active member on weightlossbuddy.com and belong to a team over there.
Between my age and having quit smoking I am fighting a real battle. To top it off, I recently found out my cholesterol is high. So I'm back to the drawing board trying to reinvent my diet.
Nice to meet you all,
Tea

Hi Tea,
Your story sounds so much like mine. A few years ago, I gave up smoking two packs a day and started eating cookies, two packs a day. (Heh) Naturally I gained weight -- so I gave up all sugar and lost quite a bit, but recently I've been regaining and I know part of the problem is that I "discovered" the sugar free treeats like ice-cream and, of course, the cookies.
I need to watch eggs, also.
Good luck, Tea! Let us know how you do.

Hi Adele,
Thanks for your response. I'm pretty much frustrated as can be. I feel like the best I can manage is a lb here or there and to maintain. Which wouldn't be bad if I was 30lbs overweight!
I get to see my dr in a couple of weeks I was thinking of having him recommend a dietician, or a nutritionist, I'm not sure what the difference is.
Arghhhh I hate to bring this up but did you find the sugar free twizzlers? They call my name the minute I walk into walmart..lol

Twizzlers you say!? My husband loves those things. Come to think of it, I haven't even looked at the sugar-free candy. Pudding, ice-cream and cookies have done enough damage!
(I may check out the candy aisle tonight) hee
