Bubbles,

Sorry I am so slow to reply, I have been really busy lately and haven't been on the computer. I am still loving this diet. I have lost 12 lbs. as of today. I know that isn't much since I was here last, but you have to consider I pretty much started over after Thanksgiving. I am staying very sastisfied with the menus that the diet provides. I am drinking 4, 20 oz., bottles of water a day. I try to drink 2 before noon and 2 more after. I also slip in a diet soda sometimes. I usually have tea with my meals. My husband has even jumped on the band wagon. He has lost 8 lbs. since he started. He was a little reluctant to begin with, but when he saw I was eating good and losing he got interested. This is pretty much the high protien, low carb thing. It's just that by having these simple planned menus I seem to be able to follow that is so exciting. Oh yeah, I am not active at all in the evenings. I usually fix dinner and watch t.v., and go to bed early.

Debbie,
I just came across the weightloss4idiots website. Would you be able to share some more information about this diet?

I would choose the vegetarian option.
What would be some examples of the meals?
Do you feel hungry?
Are you satisfied?
Do you feel that the meals are nutritionally sound?

I'm just debating on buying this, and the website did not give me enough information to convince me to buy it. The free trial was useless.

I've recently loss 9.5 pounds by doing Slim in 6 and cutting out junk food and portion control. I normally eat good food, just too much of it. I feel though that I am at a plateau, so I'm looking for somthing to continue my weight loss.

Any information you could give regarding this diet would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ali

Hello all,

Sorry I haven't written for a while, I have been on a mini vacation to Italy - I had a fabulous time but then so too did my waist line! I decided that there was no point being unhappy whilst away so I ate more or less what I wanted (within reason of course) Well ...with all the pizza and pasta around I couldn't resist! But now that i am home and I've found out that I have put on all of the weight I had originally lost I feel as though I have let myself down again!

Every time I come onto this site I hear how well you are all doing! Well done I am pleased for you - but why does it feel like everyone can stick to their diets except me?

I really must work on my motivation in the New Year!

Oh and I'm going to try the water thing - I never think to drink water much during the day..anything has to be worth a try - right! I am quite active during the day as my work involves lots of walking, lifting etc.. so I'm too tired to do anything by the time I get home in the evening....so water it is!

Mail Again soon

Hi Ali,

I just bought weight loss 4 idiots yesterday, and though I can't tell you whether it works for me, I can tell you about the menus. The meals are ususally just one food, like chicken, or tofu burger for the vegetarian option. Sometimes the meals are a mixture, like mixed vegetables or fruit plate. There are also times when a meal includes two things, like cottage cheese and chicken, but that's not very common. So, the meals are very simple. The menu generator finds out your preferences in a pretty specific way, so that you can come up with many different menus if you want. I printed two yesterday, and chose which one to start with based on what I had at home in the freezer. I know it's only been a few hours, but I like the simplicity of it and the fact that I can have 4 meals each day, and eat whatever amount I need for each so that I'm not hungry. I'm sure that I'm eating much less than I usually do, but I don't feel like I'm deprived, yet.

The meals are healthy themselves, and most days on this diet seem fairly nutritionally sound. All types of foods are included: protein, carbohydrates, fruit, vegetables, dairy, and eggs, although usually not all on the same day. The menu is pretty high in protein, but the sources are varied so that it seems healthy. I'm going to be eating lots of eggs and cottage cheese.

I hope this helps. I was looking for information about this diet yesterday, and there doesn't seem to be much out there other than links to their website.

Julie

I have been on this diet for 8 weeks now and have lost 22 lbs.. My husband has lost 15. He was a little reluctant at first to join in but when he saw how great it was working for me he was all for it. We are very happy with the results and are very satisfied with the 4 pre-planned meals a day.

Debbie,
Do you mind if I ask how close you are to goal? from the sounds of it you have surpassed your 15 lb weight goal, which is great.

I have alot to lose and I am still debating weather to purchase this program..
If it works it would definatly be worth it. BUT if it doesn't I would hate to throw away the money...

I also have used all of the search engines and have been unable to find much other then thier press release info listed as reviews.

Hope you all are loosing

Reggie,

I am so pleased with this diet. You are right, there isn't much out there as far as info goes about this diet plan. I was just having one of those days that this is it,and I am going to find some kind of diet to go on! I had been to the book store, thought I was going to by The Perricone Promise, (this doctor was on Ophrah the day before promoting it), for $27.00. When I looked the book over in the store I talked myself out of it because of the different ingredients, some I had never heard of. So, after I got home I found this diet on the net for the same price. I really liked the idea of simple pre-planned menus. That is a big deal for me. I only have 1 son at home out of 3 now, and I can add a couple of things to my menu for him and he is fed well. I don't know if you know how teen boys eat, believe you me in the past I have felt like I was literrally cooking for an army. Anyway, I have passed my 15 lb. mark and I can fit back in my old clothes that wouldn't even zip or button. I am just sticking with it now to help my husband with another 10 lbs.. I think I have gotten to the point that it will take some exercise to drop any more. I consider myself at a slim size. I think as long as you have weight to lose this plan keeps on working. One thing my husband and I noticed was the more you vary your menu from the week before the more we lost. For a couple of weeks we kind of picked the same things and we didn't have as much weight loss. I must say I should be an advertisment for this diet, but I am only a very satisfied dieter.

Deb,
Thanks for the update. I think a size 8 is my dream size. It has been to long. When I met my Husband (wow its been 10 years) I was a size 10 and would love to get there again.. Actually I would love to be out of the Plus sizes. I had our first child (a son) last July and I was one of those women, women hate. As of one week after his birth I was 30 lbs lighter then I was when I conceived.. The first trimester was awful... Any way after discussing it over with DH I decided to purchase WL4I and I am glad I did. It looks easy to follow... I am now trying to figure out the system of the automatic diet programmer. I love to solve problems and this one is interesting.

Questions for you.
The sandwiches, hotdog and hamburger would you consider that a Carb/Protien meal?? Also what are you doing on the 3 days off??

Maybe we should just keep posting here and start a new thread every cycle or something. What do you think?

Here is to happy losing!!
