Hey Reggie,

I am new to the discussion board thing, so I don't know how to, or what a new thread every cycle means. Maybe you can take the lead and educate me on that one.

As far as the hot dog, sandwich, hamburger goes I would say that is the carb/protien meal. You know as far as the "system" goes, I am so glad they give me the diet generator. I truly believe that is what made it work for me. You can keep making menus till one sounds really good to you.

I'm going to let you in on a couple of things that I found out along the way. Scrambled Eggs have cheese in them! Fruit Salad has fat free Cool Whip! I just found this out when I changed my plan up last week.

On my three days off I do just what it says, eat what I want and try to eat in moderation. I usually gain 2 to 3 pounds back during this time. The good thing is I am ready to get back on the diet so I can start losing again. The food is good and I am not hungry. I usually feel better on the diet than off. I think it is because I tend to eat more carbs during this time and don't drink as much water as needed. In other words I look forward to my time off and then I look forward to going back.

I am very much interested in this weightloss for idiots program. But i have a few questions for those of you that are using this way to loose weight. I wanted to know what types of food that they are calling Fat Burning Foods. I heard mention of foods that are not of the normal thing that people eat. Maybe i missread that, can't remember. Also i work during the day so this has to be something that i can brown bag it to bring to work. Any information on this diet would be much appreciated as i don't want to waste money on a program that really wouldn't suit my lifestyle or my taste buds.

Thanks,
Laurie

Sorry my post sounded like such an advertisement! Actually, it wasn't, I was just answering Ali's questions. I'm new here, so I guess my one-time post describing/praising the diet was suspicious.

I came here to read about how people approach losing weight. I need/ed to lose 5 lbs of postpartum weight that has been with me for many months (my baby is 10 months old now). I've lost that 5 lbs. and now I realize that even before I was pregnant my pants weren't fitting right. Hmmm. It's really a post-30 problem. So, now I want to lose 5 more lbs so that I can wear my favorite pants that I haven't really been comfortable in since I was 29 or so, 3 years ago. (Whether the pants are still fashionable is a different problem)

Can we talk about how to maintain weightloss? I wasn't able to maintain my ideal weight before, so how will I do it once I get back there?

Julie

Deb,
I am sorry when you do things for awhile you forget that everyone does not know how to do the same things.

By new thread I guess I should have said new topic. By every cycle I meant every 14days or so. 11 on the diet 3 off. But then every week might be better since there is no way of nowing what day people have started.

I suggest a starting new topic because as you can see we are up to two pages of the thread. A thread is the string of replys or conversations with in a topic. Please anyone reading this feel free to correct me. Well 2 pages become cubersome when someone wants to check out the lastest reply. I took a class on webpage build the philosophy is that if a person has to click though more then 3 pages they loose intrest.

My recomendation woul be to start a topic going Monday through Sunday each week. When you started this topic your subject was "Newbie here Just bought weightloss 4 idiots" we might title each weekly topic as 01-24-05 Weight Loss 4 idiots. Who knows this might be the site we needed before we bought the program. Anyway

My husband and I are going to start the diet on Monday. Sunday night I will start the topic line for next week. I will probably check daily to see what is happening on the board.

Sweet Thing,

I would not want to list the contents of the diet. I would hate to risk haveing the site closed for infringing on copyright laws. Anyway I will tell you there is not much on the diet that I don't eat normally except Low fat cottage cheese. But If I don't select it on the diet generator I won't get it on my diet. I too work and will be brown bagging it. If you have a frig and a microwave there is no reason you can't pack your meals. If you don't there might be a problem. In reading the material i seem to recall that they suggested you pack your lunch. It is easier to remain true to a diet. Do I go out to lunch or eat what I brought syndrome. I hate waste so I eat what I brought.

Hi everybody! I just started weightloss for idiots two days ago. It is going pretty well. I would like to know what do I use to scramble my eggs and make my omelets? I would appreciate any suggestions.

Exclamation

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased the WeightLoss4Idiots yesterday and have started the diet today.

Just reading all your messages gives me hope. I plan on doing 1 hour of cardio a day. I also plan on working out with a friend on Saturdays and Sundays.

Debbie, I'm not always good with my water, but I liked how you drink two water bottles before 12noon and 2 after. I'm going to try that and see if I can get all my water in.

I look foward to hearing how well you all are doing and sharing how I do with you.

Phara

Pet Peeve, posters misspelling LOSE as LOOSE.
Julieq, I cannot see how anyone could have read your post as spamming. I have seen the diet posted out in detail on other sites.

Hi Judy, I wasn't replying to julieq when I posted that. I merely deleted the post that I wrote in and replaced it with my warning to 'hoodiatalk'
