Hello,
I wanted to suggest possibly adding a different type of exercise to your swimming. I have frequently heard that swimming doesn't burn as many calories as aerobic exercise does. Try adding some walking or jogging to your routine. Hope this helps, and don't get discourged! Keep trying to implement changes a little at a time.

Actually I never drink just water. I don't like it. I drink Crystal Light, or apple juice, or orange juice. Something like that. I could try drinking water but I doubt if I could drink 8 glasses of the stuff. And I do eat after 8 pm. Later into the evening sometime I get a little hungry and I will have a bowl of cereal, or an apple, or a protein shake.

I also have a very hard time with drinkning water....something I found that helps is lemon....and once in awhile I will add a little sugar, or low-cal sweetner. I have found that by doing this, I am drinking about 50% more water than I was before turning the water into lemonade. Some might think the added sugar isn't good, but it isn't nearly as much as even a diet cola. I squeeze half of a lemon into a water bottle, add my sugar, ice and throw in the lemon half, shake it up and go. When it is about 1/2 gone, I add more water....there is no need fore more sugar at this point, there is usually enough flavor left to mix with the new water to make a whole new glass of lemonade. Hope this helps and good luck! I will say that when I was doing this over the past summer, I lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks, just by taking the pop out of my diet and replacing it with lemonade. I think I'm going to try this again myself.

I am not a water drinker either. But I found that I really like the bottles of flavored water. My favorite is from walmart. Alot of different flavors to chose from and Propel is also very good.

I too do not like to drink water but I have found the the Dasani Strawberry flavored waters help keep me on track...I can drink those things all day long!!!! If I don't have any I try to stomach the water anyways because when you look at the back of the soda cans and kool aid packages and such...there is a big difference in calories and such you are taking in! I was told unsweetened tea was also a good choice if ya don't like water...but to be honest I can stand water better than I can unsweetened tea! Good luck!!!

I eat later in the evening a few pieces of cheese and perhaps a bowl of cereal. So my calorie consumption is way down there. She commented that I might not be taking in enough calories. I remember about a year ago when I initially started trying to lose weight I ate just salads. A few people then told me that that won't work because you are feeding your body so few calories that your body basically thinks it's starving and your metabolism slows down and your body burns very few calories in an effort to retain your current weight. My dietician said I could consume 1200 calories a day and still lose weight. Do you think that maybe that is the problem? I've been swimming 4 nights a week for the last 3 weeks so I must be burning some calories. Please advise.

What you are doing is starving yourself...which slows the metabolism and promotes fat storage. It will never work!!!!
You need to get with a doctor who works to establish the right kind of lifestyle program that will get your metabolism and health on track

I think your diet could use more fruits and vegetables. Maybe you could try walking about 10-15 minutes a day lose more weight. Evenutally you could work your way up to 30 minutes of walking a day to lose more weight. Also, Richard Simmons work out tapes are fun and not to stressful to keep up with. Hopes this advice helps.

No discussion of healthy, sensible weight loss should include anything posted by Luisa. Do a search on Google for the dangers of the Brazilian diet pills.

Emagrece Sim and Herbathin Dietary Supplements May be Harmful
Do your due dilligence before you do anything as foolish and dangerous as to even consider something like Emagrece Sim. Check out the facts before you waste your money and endanger your health.
