Hey everyone! I just registered so I am new here! But my husband and I have been on the WL4I for 8 days now and I have lost 5 lbs. That is with cheating and having mexican food and margaritas one night!! I absolutely LOVE this diet! I think the price is great too because you dont have to stay a member to keep doing this diet. Just print out tons of diets and keep them! Cut and paste any info that you will need or retype it. ( that is what I am going to do) Anyways, I have been online looking for others who are doing this diet because I am so ready to discuss how things are going for everyone!!!
:-) I sure hope I posted this right.... LOL! First timer here! LOL!
Thanks for reading!
Melanie

Manon, do you feel like the diet is working ok for you still?
I just started on it!
Also how does everybody feel about the price? was it right? too much? too little?
I need some opinions, please! Still not sure if it was just a scam to get my money!

I've been on the weight loss 4 idiots (nice name, eh?) for 4 days now and I've lost 3 pounds already! They claim that you can lose 9pds in 11 days! I'll soon find out! I just want to know if someone out there is doing it as well so we can lean on each other for advice and such...

My question to you is 5 lbs. of what? I seriously doubt it is fat because they don't stress exercise on this "diet". I would suggest that 5 lbs. is mainly water. That's the problem I have with WL4I (and all those types of diets) that proclaim: "Lose 9 lbs. Every 11 Days! That's totally ridiculous. At that rate you would soon be in negative numbers and cease to exist! At the least, you would likely be so sick if you lost weight that fast that you would be bed ridden.
Anyone that's read basic physiology or has a grasp of the different processes that go on in the body, can see a pile of blatant errors and lies in the advertising copy they use to promote this "diet". Case in point. "The answer to weight loss is SHIFTING THE TYPES OF CALORIES that you eat at each meal" Hello? A calorie is a measure of heat. There are no different "types" of calories, just as there are no different types of inches or different types of minutes. By definition, a calorie of fat has as much heat as does a calorie of protein as does a calorie of carbohydrate. It makes good advertising copy, but it's all a big lie. This ad is full of such half truths and outright fibs.
I know you're not likely going to listen to what I have to say, but there is only one sure way to weight loss and that is by creating a slight calorie deficit and exercising. The most precious asset you have is your lean muscle mass and you must preserve this at all cost. Why? Because muscle burns fat. It's not scale weight that matters, it's the amount of fat you carry that matters. Modern weight loss is about having a body composition analysis done and determining the amount of fat and the amount of lean you have. Then concentrate on lowering the fat - not the lean.
Diets such as WL4I stress losing pounds as the most important criteria which is all wrong. Such diets are ultimately doomed to failure. They make a good case for their diet, flashy site and all that, but there is nothing new here. This is simply the old calorie cycling or "zig zag" diet method wrapped up in a new package. Looking at the ad copy and what they say about how the diet is suppose to work, I think a more proper name for this diet would be "Weight Loss By Idiots".
