Weight loss Suggestion
Hi everyone;
Just found this site and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what a good diet program might be for my wife? She is 40 years old and somewhat active, but she is carrying 80 extra pounds. Someone suggest me to take a Phentermine Diet Pills for her. Is it ok to take a Phentermine drug without prescription or I need to consult with my doctor before take it.
Thanks for listening

i can tell you from experience that i have taken phentermine. i bought them online, so i wouldn't have to go through my doctor. yeah, they worked while i was taking them, but as soon as i stopped, i gained the weight right back. and i can honestly say that they are probably the least healthy of all diet pills i have taken. they are an appetite suppressor, which means that i ate only when i felt hungry, which when taking the pills, was only once a day, if that. basically i was starving my self. there are plenty of awesome diet plans out there that don't require starvation, just healthy eating and exercise. trust me when i say that phentermine would be a waste of time and money.

Hoodia
I've done some online research & read reviews on diet pills & it seems Hoodia is the safest. I could be wrong but I guess I will just have to see for myself when my order of Hoodia tablets arrive. Other diet pills can cause jitters or shaking, but Hoodia is herbal and is not supposed to cause those... I hope it works.

Hello
This really gets me when people talk about diet pills. Most diet pills can be exceptionally dangerous and should not be bought unless recommended by your doctor. The first thing about diet pills is that they can temporarily rev up the metabolism which in turn makes the heart beat slightly faster - which isn't natural and therefore not healthy when you are in a "relaxed" state. I am sure you have heard of other unsightly symptoms (including death) so I won't go into them.
I think the best thing is for your wife to devise an eating plan that puts her calories between 1200-1400 calories, is low fat and has plenty of wholegrain carbs for sustained energy. She should also undertake more exercise - even walking is fantastic and she should build up to walking an hour a day. Walking is also good as it is easier to incorporate into your daily life.
When I was losing weight I found a love for apples and ended up eating about 6 a day as I was always hungry between meals. An apple is filling but low in cals/fat. so get her to experiment with fruit for snacks.
I would also recommend some light resistance training, as this will build muscle which in turn will burn more calories (don't worry - she doesn't need to become the next arnie for this effect!)
Why don't you both undertake a healthier eating plan - then you can motivate each other.
Hope you get on well.

You should consult a doctor....80 pounds a serious amount of weight that could have other health implications. DIet pills don't work. She needs someone to figure her health out and get her lifetstyle figured out and find what will work for her.

There's no healthy solution other than eating less and moving more. The trick is in making gradual changes to your habits so that they stick for the length of your life and not the length of you diet.
Diets don't work because they are seen as temporary and once you stop and go back to your old habits - back comes all the weight - after all that's what gave you the weight in the first place.
