Hi jeeplaw!
Looking for a healthy burrito recipe you say! Well, I can provide one for you. I just put up a page on the web for you to take a look at. This recipe will provide you with 23 raw whole food ingredients and is a snap to prepare.
I will be up front though. Unlike the post by Simple Sal - "Found a fantastic place to buy health shakes!" - which is a blatant commercial and will certainly turn people off from visiting and using this forum, I'm telling you before you click over that this recipe does use an ingredient from a company that you may not have heard off.
I hope by posting this disclaimer that I don't offend anyones sense of fair play.
Fair enough. Here then is the link for the recipe I mentioned:
Healthy Burrito Recipe - Ole!
Enjoy!

Hi kael41
Well, from what I read, Oxford Polytechnic Institute has proved that cayenne pepper stimulates the metabolism approximately 20%. It not only stimulates the body's metabolic rate, but also cleans fat out of the arteries.
A Dr. Henry at Oxford University proved that hot peppers were very effective at stimulating the metabolism by adding just 3 grams of chili peppers to a meal consisting of 766 calories. The peppers led to what Dr. Henry calls "a diet-induced thermo effect".
British investigators added ordinary mustard to a meal, and the hot stuff caused average metabolism in 12 subjects to shoot up 25%! The subjects burned off an extra 45 calories in the next 3 hours. Mustard and hot sauces such as tobassco, caused one person to burn off 76 calories!
I wouldn't suggest adding mustard to burritos though!
As for cumen, well, I suppose so. Cumin is rarely used in American cooking because of it's overpowering flavor. It has been largely replaced by the milder caraway. But, hey! if you like it.
Any questions, you've got my e-mail.
