I don't know how much you can target one area other than with excercising the muscles in that area and hoping for the best.

You can't lose weight from any particular area without losing weight all over but you can tone up so that you reveal a nice smooth outline as you lose the weight.
Lunges (and squats as Hartman said) are good. Also you can do buttock squeezes and leg lifts (raising your leg behind you) in any spare few moments (waiting for the kettle to boil, cleaning your teeth) etc.
Personally, I have also found yoga great for toning up this area.
