Emotional Medicine anyone?
Hi everyone,
This is my first message so I'd like to say a big 'hello' to you all. The last few months have been an absolute mind blur and lately, I've been looking at the emotional (subconscious) elements of weight loss.
I'd love to hear from any of you who have already gone down that route and what your comments are.
I'm going on a NLP Practitioners course next week, so that should give me an even bigger insight into this amazing and deeply misunderstood area.
I'll let you know what I thought when I return.
Have an amazing day

Dr Phil's books do a good job of helping people work through the emotional reasons they over-eat. Still, it's natural for us to comfort ourselves with food to a certain extent. We just need to find other ways. Sometimes it's a matter of walking off anger or crying off grief. Talking to a friend or just sitting and "feeling the pain" for a bit. Prayer is a big help for some people.

With that attitude you will have an amazing heart attack. This notion of emotional eating is a bunch of rubbish. It is an excuse for gluttons to say "Oh dear I must be eating like a pig for some mysteruous emotional reason>
Get a grip people! Stop acting like pigs and when you begin acting responsibly the reason why you over ate will become clear. You are a glutton!
