Hi all
just wanted to find anyone who has been taking meridia? I just started taking it and was wanting to know what to expect? Im not really that overweight but my docotor thinks i should try it. I used to weigh 135 last year and bodyfat 24% i slowed way down on working out over the last year and gianed 35lbs and lots of bodyfat. im only 5"2 and now weigh 164lbs. I will be getting back into my workouts,I was wandering if anyone else has tried this and how well does it work. Thanks
p.s. i have read all the warnings about Meridia and feel safe as of now but its only been a few days? I will pay close attention to myself. Thanks, Rach
Meridia is a drug approved by the FDA for weight loss. As any other drug for weight loss it is indicated if you have a BMI> 27 with Diabetes/High blood pressure or a BMI >30 without any comorbidities. It works on some people better than others. If you are the type of person that eats all the time, always snacking and so forth, this medicine will work great. If you are the one that eats 3 meals per day but they are large meals, Meridia will help you but not as much. In my practice i've seen weight loss between 5 and 20 lbs. You should not be taking any other supplemments that will increase your metabolism while on Meridia and the indication is only for 1 year.
Most of the patients complain of anxiety and insomnia, but 90% tolerate the Medicine well.
Good LUCK
