I just saw something on this on MTV's "True Life" series. I know it has great results but it's a major surgery and there is risk involved. I'm sure it's really expensive too, and most doctors wouldn't recommend it unless you are in danger because of your weight.
Yea, the only people I've seen go for that kind of surgery are people who usually have no other way of losing weight. I think Al Roker had one? You can tell by his skin flaps that he lost a TON of weight too.
Well a family friend of mine is a Physcian and her and I talked about this awhile ago. The real problem with stapeling is that your going to be slowly starving yourself. You find that yoyu eat less at once but might eat more often. The long term effects can also be very bad but we really didn't go into that.
I think the risks outweigh the positives on this one!~ My friend had this done, she had an infection they could not control after surgery and almost died! As much as I would LOVE to have this done, I am scared! Same w/ Gastric Bypass. I think it's a personal decision that each person must make.
I wish someone from Extreme Makeover would come over to my house and liposuction my whole body and give me a personal trainer and make all my meals and force me to get up in the a.m. and workout. That is what I need!
