Will someone please help me?? :(

I am new here and am looking for some helpful advice about loosing weight. I have about 10 pounds that I would love to get rid. However, no matter how much I work out and diet it never seems to get me anywhere. I run for 30 minutes 5 days a week, and diet constantly. I don't eat junk food and I eat 2 fruits a day. I do everything I can think of to just try to get rid of these 10 pounds. I took diet pills for a while , but they never seemed to do the trick either. I figured they could help shed those 10 pounds along with all my excersize. I am only 19 years old and this is really getting to me. Can anyone give me some tips of how may be I could improve my diet , or just some ideas of how to get rid of these extra 10 pounds. Thank you so much for your time

Are you sure your weight isn't just right the way it is?

You sound so healthy and your habits are excellent. If you can keep up that 30 minute run all your life you will be way ahead of most people with your weight and your health!

If you really, really think you need to lose ten pounds then I would suggest cutting out something that you eat each day but don't feel you need for good nutrition. A candy bar?
Potato chips? If not, then you might decide to go in the other direction and add a few weight training hours to your weekly plan.

I used to run everyday plus take a weekly ballet class. I loved that class because it seemed to put the "finishing touches" on my figure. It helped me tone trouble spots and how to move gracefully. Just leaning how to stand with perfect posture made me look thinner.

Hi,

Maybe you are getting some of that hidden sugar that seems to be lurking around in so much of the foods we eat.

Adding some strength training might be a good idea but I really think if you keep a food journal for a week you will see where that 10lbs is coming from.

I am new here so bear with me. This is my first post. First off I would just like to congratulate Raven on getting as far as you did with your diet program. You have gotten further than most people. I guess it is just will power and determination. Anyway, I have an idea on how you can lose those last 10 pounds. The only thing I would have you change is how you eat your meals. If you currently eat three meals/day, why don't you spread those three meals into 6 mini meals throughout the day. By doing this it makes your body metabolize your food more efficiently and thus much less is converted to fat and more for energy. I recommend you try it. Let me know what you thinks, got to go now.

Raven, if you are constantly dieting your metabolism is slow. You need to rev it up. Try some natural diet aids like green tea. Try using conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which is a natural fatty acid. Studies have shown that CLA reduces abdominal fat and increases lean muscle mass. You also have to be lifting weights. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism. Hope this helps.

Raven, This is good advice that 'tcfwl' gives but not the best advice. I have better advice for you. Instead of trying to rev up your metabolism by just using teas and CLA you need to get the waste that has built up over the many years of your life out of you right now! Even if you are not part of the high percentage of people in the world that have parasites I guarantee you have at least 5 to 10 pound of waste stored up in your body and coating your intestines. Not only is this unhealthy now but it will lead to diseases later on in life. Also, it causes your body's metabolism to be thrown out of balance. You really need to go to my home page and read the information you find there. There is a natural way to get this stuff out of you. If your only talking about losing 10 pounds this can happen literally in one or two days when your body eliminates all this excess waste. I must warn you some of the pictures are pretty gross when you see what will come out of you. I've seen some pretty nasty stuff come out of even hard core vegetarians who exercise regularly and look pretty healthy from the outside. But, you can't judge a book by the cover.
