I am 16, and this is my journal

Hi, I am new here but I've been reading alot of what the owner writes and it is all so true lol.

I made a journal, and I think it will help me with my weight loss.

Read it if you can, I would love feed back (as in, tell me your stories) and how you went through it. It's so hard! But, I am determined.

Goals: Lose 190 pounds in 2 years (Before I graduate High school!) Which is in 2 years and 3 months! Alot to go.

Drink ALOT of water. Atleast 2 gallons a day.

Work out 5 times a week. then to 6, and then maybe even 7 once I get into the habit.

You might think I am over working myself, but I am not. I might be overweight, but I can go along way on a treadmill

So, please dont make me regret doing this =p I am so embarassed. I'm usually really embarassed talking about my weight.

Smile Food Logs are the way to go!!

I am an RD and the most successful tool for weight loss and weight management is keeping a food log or food record daily. It helps you see what you eat, how you eat, and emotional cues related to eating!! Good luck and take it a step at a time. Slow weight loss is the only weight loss that lasts!!!

190lbs??????????????????????????? my god, that's really a huge amount, are you sure you want to lose that much? you dont' have to be embarrased, i'm going through a lot of exercising too and wnat to lose only 40lbs which i find enormous. [i'm losing patience already] but if you stick to your goal, i'm sure you'll be satisfied. you know, when you're young, you easily lose weight, i mean, when i was 13 i was weighing more than now and when i started growing taller, though the weight didn't decrease a lot, my BMI decreased and i'm come from overweight to nearly overweight.

I think its fantastic that you are changing your life like that. though 190 is a lot to loose! are you sure u actually need 2? have you checked your Body Mass Index, coz you might be surprised.

Im always embarassed talking about my weight too, but the more you do it here the easier it will get I think. Does your family know your on a healthy eating plan?
