"Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything. "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"—1 Cor 7.12-13

The new menu plan is really helping. Knowing what I'm going to have for dinner each night and having all the ingredients on hand, really helps keep me from making bad choices at the last minute when I'm tired and hungry.
Lunch is still a little bit out of control. I don't need fries, I don't need fries, I don't need fries...

Well the menu plan only works when I can cook dinner. One family member has been working till eleven every night and the other one just wants to eat out all the time. That seems to be my biggest problem. Although everyone I know considers me a good cook my husband only wants KFC and Puzza Hut. It's hard to say no to him and put myself through the work of cooking a meal when I know he doesn't appreciate it and acts like a child being punished.
Very discouraged. Weight up to 167. I've gained back 23 pounds even though I'm still not eating sugar and still walking 6 days a week. Bummer.

I decided to move my diary to www.caloriesperhour.com under username sylphide. I love it here but it's lonely. Of course the downside of a busy board is all the unsolicited advice. Makes me feel criticized.
I may be back with my tail between my legs.
Thanks for letting me vent here, Jeeplaw.
