Unhappy Shopping for clothes.

I went to Wal-Mart. (Yes, I'm a big spender. ) I hadn't wanted to buy new clothes until my weight was lower but I could hardly spend the winter in the khakis and T-shirts I've worn all summer.
  • Black slacks
  • Black skirt
  • Red sweater
  • Tan sweater
  • White blouse

I think that's basic enough to get me through the winter along with the few other things I already have.

I looked twice as wide in the dressing room mirror than I do in my door mirror at home!

I bought some pudding.

Red face Binge

I ate the pudding. One whole family size (6 serving) box of sugar-free instant made with 1% milk. That comes to 800 calories at one sitting. After a big lunch. Followed by a ham salad sandwich. Why? I don't know.

Unhappy Pudding, part II

At least today it was only the regular (four servings) size.

It was a particularly harried day with a meeting in the morning and a wedding in the evening and not much time for wise controlled decisions.

Note to self: Overeating never made a bad day better.I'm feeling so lonely.

Thumbs up October 1, 2006

So far so good!

Of course it's only 8:25 in the morning.

If I can just start to get the binging under control and put some more oomph in my work-outs -- I really think I can lose a few pounds this month.

Remember: There is no need to binge! There is no famine!

You're right. Acknowledgement is a great first step.

Just remember, drinking water is a great way to keep the belly full

Thanks Jeeplaw. You know, drinking water is one of those simple, yet important things I always forget to do. I know that lots of times when I crave ice-cream I'm really just thirsty.

Exclamation The Diet of Crete

Racheal Rae discussed this on her show today.
The people of Crete have less heart disease than any people in the world.
They eat:

Fruit, lots of
Vegetables, lots of
Bread
Fish
Cheese

Olive Oil as much as a tumbler full every day!

Red Wine (not for me)
Meat, only on special occasions like Easter and Christmas.

Loved the tuna salad.

More protein, less carbs.
More water, less soda. More vegetables.

Psychiatrist on Dr Phil today was all about protein to increase brain power.
He said refined sugar was absolute poison to the brain.
