Smile Friends

Company today! Two of my best girlfriends. One I've known since I was about three and the other since age 12. Nothing could be more fun for me than to spend the day with them. I laughed for hours, then had a Margarita and laughed for several more hours. I rarely drink at all -- In fact the last time I had a drink was over a year ago, with those two, at a high school reunion. I'm one person who actually thinks I probably should drink more often. Good for the mental health and all that.

Diet. Hmmm, I had baked brownies and made Waldorf salad for them to go with some deli meats and cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. I just realized I didn't eat much at all. When I'm socializing I'm just not interested in food.

Next week I think I'll look for a new work-out tape. I am so jaded over the old one.

There is nothing on TV tonight. For a while PBS was showing old "women's movies" from the 40's and 50's on Saturday night and I was really enjoying them. Tonight it's a western. Oh well. Off to early bed with a book.

I need to find a grammar site and work on these sentences. Just previewing this post made me see how my phrases seem to be in the wrong order -- or something. I just know it looks wrong and convoluted.

Exclamation Another Fat Danger

What doesn't kill you will make you stupid!

The news today says that as people gain weight their IQ gets lower. I can believe it.

My cognitive function doesn't need anymore problems. It's another incentive to gain control.

Planned eating is a big help for me.

If I have already planned a healthy meal and purchased, thawed and set out the ingredients, then I will not make a bad impulsive decision when I'm tired and hungry.

From Arthritis.org

Walking is good for anyone, especially people with arthritis. It’s an endurance exercise, which means it strengthens your heart, helps your lungs work more efficiently and gives you more stamina so you don’t tire as easily. As a weight-bearing exercise (one that puts full weight on your bones), walking helps strengthen bones, reducing the risk of osteoporosis (thinning of the bones).

I'm currently walking 15 miles per week spread over 6 days.

New limitation: cholesterol. Gah!

So now I need to limit sugar, cholesterol, saturated fat and calories.
Going to the store later to get more apples.

Lightbulb Never starve!

One thing I've learned today.

I can skip breakfast but then, if I go one minute past noon before eating lunch --

It get's UGLY.

Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6.25

Yesterday, while in the pharmacy, on an impulse, I bought a flu shot.
Now I'm sick. Aches, fever and a sleepless night. Heck.
