Be wise, do not go dieting as a headless chicken
Hello,
This is how various persons attempt do dieting :
Everything or nothing
And are frustrated with yoyo effect.
How to avoid it ?
Just ACCEPT YOURSELF as you are today.
It does not mean you must reject your dreams of getting slim.
It means you do not have to escape from your current weight.
Imagine being healthy, slim and strong and repeat this dream as often as you can
combining this vision with feeling of inner joy, regardless your present status.
It will make you move in steady way to your goal, without going back and forward, as pendulum.
You have a lot of good diet products, advices, so much support everywhere on the forum.
Take advantage of them, but first - start to love yourself as you are and think about the bright future for you.
It does not matter if it comes sooner or later, just be yourself and follow good advices and the results shall amaze you.
Regards,
Jacek

YOU can do it.
Remember to stick to the dieting basics, don't get so worked up on the fine details, not at first. The above post is right, keep visualizing what it is you want because motivation is king. If you have motivation then you have the ability to find the information on the internet and the ability to put that into a plan. Once you have that then you just have to work your plan. You are the only one who can do it, don't expect to lose 50 pounds straight away and then be done. you will have setbacks and it does take time. Good luck to you!

Dieting tips
Folks,
Dieting does not work. There are many fad diets out there that promise weigth loss. One can even lose weight on those diets but it is very difficult to keep it off. I remember, I once tried a <_>
7 day diet
an<_>d lost almost 10 pounds but gained almost all of it back within a month.
The lesson I learned was that instead of putting my body on a diet, I should put my lifestyle on a diet. I know it's easier said than done but you have to give up something.
Since then I have been walking a lot, eating right and have been able to keep my weight in check. Really, there is no shortcut to this process, it's all about making small changes. Be well...

A few more for you....
Here are a few rules that I have decided I will start implementing moving forward. I think they are great for helping control my eating:
1) Place what you eat on a plate and never eat out of the jar or bag. By doing this, you can see exactly how much you are eating throughout the day.
2) Eat the low-calorie items off of your plate first, and then move on to the more calorie dense items. Start with salads, vegetables, then go to soups, and then the main part of the meal. The idea here is that you’ll likely be full or getting full by the time you reach the high calorie stuff, so you’ll eat less of it.
3) Stop drinking milk. If you cant do that, stop drinking whole milk and switch to 1 percent. Whole milk is pretty calorie dense, so this is important.
4) Cut out fruit juices and sodas. It goes without saying that sodas should go, but why juices? Well, because they are calorie dense. Instead of drinking fruit juice, try eating the fruit itself. I.e., eat an orange instead of drinking a glass of orange juice, and you’ll consume a heck of a lot less calories.
5) Take your lunch to work. I really need to start doing this, since I always seem to hit Burger King if I don’t.
6) If you are going to keep drinking fruit juice, dilute it with water. The key here is to not taste the full fruit juice first, or you’ll definitely taste that it is watered down. Start off my only watering it down by 10% and each week add another 10%. Before you know it, in 5 weeks you’re now drinking half water, half juice, and in my case that works out to about 10 lbs of calories per year!
I hope these 6 tips can help you.
