The small vacation was pretty good. I went to the gym today and after working out was still down half a pound. It seems funny but just posting about overeating on vacations caused me to pack a bag of healthier stuff to take with me and to keep it in mind when we went out to dinner. I cheated a little but not near as much as I used to.
I need to make the meditation a habit I guess. I only tried it the one day and hope to make time for it more often. I would like to look into yoga instead of lifting weights. There are still a few things I haven't tried. I finish teaching summer school at the end of this week and will have more time on my hands.
In regards to Weight Watchers I know some people who do great with it. It used to be that everything you ate was weighed, and I was never crazy about that idea, but now they use points and it really focuses on portion size. A fellow teacher lost about 15 pounds by trying to incorporate it into his eating.
I had another teacher use the Nutrisystem meals and she lost about 15 pounds, it is just really expensive. The teacher that told me about the protien and fiber thing figured it out after analysing the Nutrisystem meals. The fiber does really help in making me feel full.
Well I seemed to have rambled on once again. Overall I have lost about 7 pounds with the gym and the food so I am going to just keep trudging along.
Til later,
